As somebody who loves our country and our unwritten constitution, I am a big fan of the principle of natural justice.

If an individual citizen is a member of a club and does something as a joke, which on reflection was stupid, but which they could not have known was a breach of the rules, should they be given an immediate and draconian punishment. Or should they be given a warning first.

What do posters think would be a fair and sensible way to deal with issues like this.
 
Another little teaser.

If every club member realised that something was obviously not genuine and was being done as a joke. Maybe because it looked nothing like the official item. Is it fair to call it "faking" and to mete out an immediate and draconian punishment.

Depends how serious it is.
 
Pete has received a total ban for making a couple of jokey fake Mod warnings.
I was honestly going to warn him that people have had permanent bans for that previously. But I thought better of it because it would just have led to things like "how do you know, you must have insider knowledge" (I really don't) and more nonsense like that.

It's a shame but the chuckle brothers were pushing it too far.
