What have you been doing today?

The three payments were stopped, and a new card issued. I was then quizzed if I had ever used the card for online, or music subscriptions etc.. I don't, the card only pays for ebay purchases,
We have pre-pay cards (Monzo) and whenever we buy anything online from an unknown source as well as eBay and Amazon, we make a quick transfer from our bank account to the Monzo account to cover the purchase. We just keep a nominal account on the card.

I cannot be a**ed with the shuffling money about regularly. I now have seven+ accounts, three of them TSB with nowt in them, but they are so difficult to close - they insist on me making a special trip to the local city, to close them, so I just ignore them.

All send an instant text to me, if any payment is made from them. In addition, I have an online system, which pulls all my accounts together, on one page, checks the individual transactions, and flags up any first time payments as suspicious, until manually cleared. The fraudulent payments, have just appeared there, as 'pending', as I was warned by the bank they would, then will be refunded.

Sounds like a right stop go type of job.
Friday type of job, I couldn't be arsed as needed to get in the pub by dinner time. I just bagged them up and left the chaos behind in a trail of dust. Glad I am not on call this week!!!

Busy day today. Me and my sis went to the building society to sort out our mums accounts, then went and booked the wake at a local golf club, phoned up two of my mums private pension providers, got on to the gas, electric and water companies, sorted out her council tax and her mobile phone contract. Some have been extremely good. Vodafone cancelled her direct debit for the landline and will be leaving the line in for a few weeks with no charge and will not be collecting any moneys owed. Essex and Suffolk water cancelled the d/d and said we can continue using the water for free until the house is next occupied as long as we're not filling a swimming pool and the LA cancelled the council tax until probate is sorted and then we'll get another 6 months free from then (unless a new owner goes in).

Right now, me and Mrs Mottie are getting 'festival ready'! Going to the BBC Radio 2 party in the park at Hylands park tomorrow. I bought 'bring your own seat' tickets and had to buy a couple of chairs that are of a specified size. There's no on-site parking and it’s a restricted area for cars for miles around but luckily our son got us a parking pass for his road so we can park almost on top of the place and it’s just a ten minute walk. It’ll be my first festival!

Well, the Radio 2 party in the park was great. All put in extremely good sets except for Marti Pellow. Too up his own arse. Just got in and we're watching Bryan Adams again. (y)

Marti Pello is just an old has been that still thinks he is a star. Cannot sing live and should just simply fade away. Probably end up on I'me a celebrity get me out of here. Then never heard of again.
