SEO for electricians - anyone recommend companies?

I see it’s been a while since you’ve posted, but I just want to ask if anyone here has had any success using SEO tools themselves instead of hiring an agency? I’ve been playing around with things like Google Business Profile and local keywords, but not sure if I’m missing a trick. Curious to hear if going DIY has worked out for anyone else in the trade.

I just worked on my Google Business page properly and made sure my site had my area and services mentioned on every page—started showing up way more in local searches after that.

I struggled to get decent local leads until I learned more about building backlinks and adding location-based content to my pages.
