Considering the Israeli intelligence to know precisely where Hamas leaders and Negotiators are in Iran and Qatar, (thousands of kilometers away)
you would think that Israel would know exactly where Hamas was in the occupied territory right next door to Israel, with hundreds of drones constantly surveying the area. In fact, if Hamas still exists, they'd be literally just a few streets away.
So there is no excuse whatsoever to target civilians with the lame excuse that Israel was targeting Hamas.

The sentence of 12 months seemed appropriate. A man who tries to kiss a teenage girl year old does not deserve 14 years in jail. But that doesn't stop them stirring up the hate against immigrants.

Try reading the judges' comments in both cases, using the links I provided previously. That will give you some idea about how a rational, intelligent adult assesses these matters, looking at all the factors.
