ESI Wired Thermostat to Tado Wired - 2 Zones (DATA CABLES)

Is your friend @Kizzam or do you have 2 usernames? What voltage is being supplied from the esi? I think @flameport has already possibly given a solution? I haven't seen @RandomGrinch on here for a while, hope he's ok?
Yes, I assume he’s already posted if you’re asking. I wasn’t aware.

His supply will be exactly the same as mine as we are both in a persimmon home with a dual heating system using esi. The only different being our cables.

Ok, but I've just gone back to the other post and he's not used com and NO.

He has done since and he’s managed to get Tado to come on but it stays on and won’t go off using the stat or phone app.

Would I be right in saying it’s because his wiring center is not using data cables like mine

Just had another look, there’s 2 zones by the looks of it, has he only wired one zone? Is the other still calling for heat?

Two zones, both call for heat individually but don’t switch off when asked via stat or phone app.

So could be a motorised valve fault or boiler fault. I take it he's tried fitting the old ones back in? Does the stat register turning off?

Correct. Functions as expected with the old ones.

Given it’s the same system, would it really be possible that the wires could make the difference? Seems trivial but it’s not my field of expertise.

Hi. I have the same with the brown grey and black wires. Which colour goes to which on the tado please?

I haven't tried it yet. I'll try this wiring method tomorrow and let you know. Thanks for the reply

Yep turns the boiler on but when I reduce the temp to a low temp it just stays on?

Same as then. Frustrating!

I’ve not found a route to get it to turn off yet. It must be the wiring as mine works flawlessly on the wiring I have which is different to yours

actually I think it might be working. Not to familiar with what myboiler does and the sounds it makes but if I turn the temp up on the app, shortly after the steam comes out the vent outside my house which means it's heating and when I turn boiler off through app the steam stops and the radiators eventually start to loose heat.
