logical step for Labour is to reverse Brexit

When will remoaners stop trying to reverse time?

Seriously, will this sort of thread still be going on in another 10 years?

It's all been decided. Done, happened, gone, finished.

Tedious.

You have such a funny view about how supply and demand works.
I've seen it in action for years,

What happens if nobody is willing to do that work for that money, because they have skills that mean they can get better pay?
You hate it when workers and unions get power and improve their lot.

What's wrong with a road sweeper being able to live (not the highlife. But just ordinary) on his/her wages with no need for benefit top ups.

If you're not happy with your job then get another elsewhere. Or start your own business.

If nobody would do the job for the money offered then they'll need to pay more to get someone to do it.

Simple. No need for paying a percentage of your pay to bullying mobsters.

But got bugger all to do with Brexit!

Good to see.

The point was about a low paid job, not a road sweeper per se.

Glad to see you missed the point

Your the one who brought up road sweepers.

Of course it does.

Let's take a road sweeper on minimum wage. He can get trained and get a better job. But there's still a low paid road sweeping job that somebody else will do

You cure 1 person. Not the system

Yes, we don't have people in Brussels making decrees that we have to follow. I don't really spend much time on politics, I can't say I've forensically analysed the impact of Brexit,
We have adopted virtually all the rules that applied when we were members of the EU, under the trading, equal rights etc., on a temporary basis (almost 10 years and counting). We could always have left when or if we wanted. Human rights continue under international law, we have been shafted by tariffs and the economy damaged by post leave bureaucracy costs to business.
all I am interested in is the principal, and that is that the people making the rules for where I live are also from where I live, not hundreds of miles away and having never lived here.
The multi nationals effectively make their own tax rules. We live in a world of international markets. The decisions that are made close to where you live are probably the parish council trying to stop speeding traffic or the local pub closing
