logical step for Labour is to reverse Brexit

I would start by accepting that wealth inequality has grown in that period and that it’s a problem.

I would not be a tozzer like Ivor or Motorgrifting and keep using logical fallacies.

If you want to know the solution, they involve taxing assets same as wages also taxing land, although Imsuspect you would not be aware of Land Value Tax
It’s easy to be generous with money that others have earned.

how have they earned it?

you claim that "high earners are high value people"

so during the period 2010 to 2024 where the rich have seen their wealth grow massively, the economy has been stagnant...............so what have those "high value" people done in that period -because they certainly havent helped the economy grow.

Perhaps they are not interested in helping the economy grow. Did you take just enough to live on when you had a business and give the surplus away to anybody that worked for you?

So you don't want people to be able to live on an earned wage.

Just admit it.

The amount (right now) is an irrelevant distraction. The principal isn't
No. The amount is entirely the point.

You have not defined it. No employer can sign up to this.

Can you imagine asking a customer to sign up to work on a car with no idea of the cost or for you to buy equipment without knowing how much it will cost.

Feel free to show the business results of the people you are discussing. Last I checked it’s not the job of a CEO to grow the economy.

Motorbiking says: "paying rich people to become even more rich is totally pointless, it just creates a stagnant economy"

Motorbiking is going to vote for Nigel Farage a vindictive racist bully
Motorbiking doesn't care he will vote for anybody that makes the poor poorer and the rich richer

Do you think it's so simple it could happen overnight?

It's a principal. The gap between high and low paid needs to be less extreme.

But the point you deliberately keep missing is.

Why shouldn't an earned wage be enough to live on?

Just try addressing that rather than twisting and squirming.

Why do you support taxes being paid as benefits to full time workers ?

If you do, then at least admit you want to pay more taxes to help it.

I notice you don't want to say what your first house cost, or when you bought it.
I do not want to divulge personal information thanks. But it was a terrace and needed a lot of work, all my furniture was donated second hand, the furniture I didn't have I used cardboard boxes for side tables. I replaced all the windows myself one room at a time.
Didn't have a holiday for 10 years. If the young of today did that instead of being so initialled and lazy and stopped spending all their money on items in the list then they could save for a mortgage. Whats your point

how do you know they do that?

and anyway you are talking bolox because house price to wage ratio has doubled so people simply cant get on the property ladder these days

Daily Mail tropes about netflix are lazy bigoted arguments.

If only they could get a mortgage, just to get to that position.

They must go out and work harder !

Whats your point

My point is that the price of housing has risen far faster than wages, making house purchase far less affordable.

Your nonsense about buying coffees is irrelevant to that fact.

Additionally, there are fewer permanent jobs on good pay available for young people.
