What worries me is that, generally, if you go out in public, everything you can see, in theory, you can film, including people.

There is no expectation of privacy in public. Anyone and everyone can film; councils do it, police do it, shops do it, householders do it, pubs and clubs do it, we do it in our cars. The media do it every day.

Photography is not a crime.

But after the news article I saw about these recording glasses, one woman said "He didn't have my permission to take my picture."

I can see Big Brother soon making some photography in public a criminal offence.

Not really, all the big LLMs have guardrails to prevent this. Most image generation models have specific protection for children and sexual material.
