Compare the treatment of Randy and Mandy. The first is arrested in an aggressive dawn raid, the second arrest is prearranged at a civilised hour with the media present to watch someone step into a car with dignity. We’re being groomed already.
groomed is a strong term it suggests extreme manipulation for ill to evil intent usually over a long period off time

having said that what do you actually think they are trying to misdirect to and who is responsible for it and what is the outcome they hope to be gained ???
I’m observing the difference in the manner of the two arrests. They are treating Mandy with deference and, ironically, treating Randy like a common criminal.
The outcome from Mandy’s perspective is to control the narrative that as an innocent man he is fully cooperating with the police. His strategy is to minimise the consequences of what’s happening either by avoiding charges, or negotiating lesser ones. Randy on the other hand is just a clueless ego who will probably be going to jail soon.
i would definitely say mandy will try and has the ability to direct things in a clever way but his input is only a small amount off the input so suspect the outcome will be more directed by any national interest requirements and the quality off the legal teams
and the artist formally know as prince set out his own stall with his arrogance in public interview so has more dislike aimed in his direction
but you cant read too much from the fairly public arrests other than they decided a town house needs far less police presence than a quite large house on a country estate

You’re naive if you think Mandy didn’t arrange a time suitable for the TV crews and the bulletins. He’s being treated with kid gloves because he knows the best lawyers, and how to manipulate his image. Think back to when they arrested Sturgeons husband over a camper van. Scene of crime officers, white suits, tents, shovels ready to dig up the bodies.
