Sensible policies: Smoking banned for life

You know you see those from tobacco smoking? And not just 'pre cancerous', lots and lots of cancer. Nothing there says it's worse, because tobacco kills half it's long term users. Impairment is better than death.

Tobacco use is correlated with higher rates of suicide, schizophrenia and depression.
smoking tobacco does not increase your risk of a heart attack by 4x immediately after.

Are you sure? Can you link your claim for cannabis, I missed that one.

You need to expand all the drop downs:

e.g.

Smoking 3-5 cannabis cigarettes is as dangerous as smoking 20 tobacco cigarettes. People who smoke cannabis draw more smoke, inhale more deeply and hold it in the lungs for longer. Cannabis cigarettes have no filter and deliver four times more tar than tobacco cigarettes.

Researchers studied the health of 450 people who smoke cannabis daily but did not use tobacco. They found that people who smoke cannabis have more sick days and more doctor visits for chest problems and other illnesses than a similar group who did not smoke.

Cannabis smoke deposits about 3 to 5 times more carbon monoxide and tar on the lungs than tobacco smoke.

Several genetic studies have reported an association between genes encoding the cannabinoid receptor and schizophrenia.

Thus, an alternative explanation of the association between cannabis use and schizophrenia might be that pathology of the cannabinoid system in schizophrenia patients is associated with both increased rates of cannabis use and increased risk for schizophrenia, without cannabis being a causal factor for schizophrenia.

That doesn't support your 4x heart attacks claim.
smoking tobacco does not increase your risk of a heart attack by 4x immediately after.
However smoking cigarettes does increase your risk of heart attacks by something like 3-4x and not just one hour after. It also leads to immediate heart attacks too.

I've just quoted the medical experts. You can split hairs as much as you like and nothing in your link says that you have an immediate risk after smoking tobacco in the same way as the link I provided says is true for weed.

You haven't provided anything to back up your 4x claim. It isn't in the drop-downs, I checked. That's not splitting hairs, that's trying to make sure you're not making up facts. It's a difficult subject to study so I'm curious how anyone can get that statistic.

As for immediate risk, blood pressure and heart rate spike within the first few minutes after smoking.

How does smoking change the heart and blood vessels?
Smoking:
Causes an instant and long-term rise in blood pressure.
Causes an instant and long-term rise in heart rate.
Reduces blood flow from the heart.

But you don't seem to realise how lethal it is. Smoking is like giving yourself type 2 diabetes.
I'm not campaigning for less control of tobacco, just see the policy/legislation for what it is. I also find it cynical that successive governments have pretty much ignored weed. In a country where not enough people pay enough taxes, dumbing the population down via a drug, is not going to help them rise up.

Plenty of people give themselves type 2, Body shape "positivity" certainly doesn't help, though the various fat-jabs will probably reduce this for a while, until we realise they cause liver damage or whatever.

Indeed, we should legalise it and stop wasting money on policing it.
