Traditional Britiash Breakfast

I once saw Hugh Fearnley-Wittingstall make some black pudding. Nearly put me off but I worked through it. Some people call it Blood pudding……..

I don't think I've had a really great black pudding since I was a child. :(
That's why I get some whenever I see it and I have found some very good ones. The ones in the plastic casing are not very good.

Also in Devon we have Hog's pudding with groats , thats the bits of barley , I think its also called white pudding in other parts of the country

Hogs pudding seems to be the norm in Cornwall as well, prefer the black stuff meself.

Next you will be suggesting that pineapple (a lovely fruit) is acceptable on a pizza

My favourite pizza is ham ,mushroom and pineapple.

Also my South African friend used to do a mean 'full African' breakfast on the BBQ/brai. Same as a full English, except the sausage was SA boerwors sausage and also had fried pineapple. Very nice!

My dad on the other hand, would put so much salt on his meals that you could actually see where his plate had been when you cleared the table - there was a clear, salt free plate shaped circle on the tablecloth!

My Mum is still just the same and leaves the salt circle on table too. Still, she was 90 this week so obviously not done her too much harm. We're going out for a curry tonight to celebrate so I will probably try and hide the salt cellar on our table again.

I quite like salt! On baked beans, boiled, fried or poached eggs, tomatoes and celery.

Get a whole black pudding and try it boiled then you get the real flavour without the grease.
