Running a cable under a driveway

just because I don't like what you are telling me does not mean I don't appreciate your advice, i like to understand what i should be doing or if i use a contractor what he should be doing. even if sometimes i deviate a little

you were correct about nt being able to take the blug off, there's a data cable in there.

is there any little trench with a removeable top that the cable could lie in and be easily removed and inspected. i really don't want a cable lying across the path
Something like this might work.

Yes, as in the other post before this one.

There are also surface items which do not require any installation: https://tiger-supplies.co.uk/external-vehicle-cable-protector-3-channel-900mm-l-x-500mm-d-x-70mm-h/

Still looks like you are massively overthinking this - a cable laying on a driveway for a few hours while a vehicle charges really isn't a problem. There are about 1 million homes with EV charging installed in the UK, and most of them will just plug in with the cable on the ground between the box and the vehicle.

not really - a very elderly relation tripped and fell on a hosepipe I had left across the drive - not sure if I have ever been fully forgiven - a cable left lying over that walkway will never be happening...

I think what @Charlie George is suggesting could work well, may need a longer cable if I have to have the charger attached to the house, do you Ken the price of these cables - jeez - 10m one £150, (that's a 1,000 miles worth of diesel)
