BoschSeries 2 fridge door left open - no longer gets cold enough

Starting to lose the will to live now as this issue is robbing us of days with no conclusion. I got to 5 degrees for some time on fully cold on the dial (to be honest, in the 2 years of owning it I have always had it set about 3/4 fully cold) and turned it down to about 3/4 and it still stayed at 5. My wife then sought advice from Google AI and had me turn it to halfway and left overnight. It was 10 in the morning. This is so frustrating as we have lost days, not to mention the inconvenience of not being able to replenish food until we know it's working properly.

It can't be the thermostat as it manages to get down to 5 when it wants to. The only other logical step I can think of which we haven't tried is another (sigh) defrost with the panel off and hairdryer pointing at the evaporator coils (if there is any ice on them at all)

So if someone can advise how I begin to remove this panel without breaking it I would be most grateful. The only other option is to book a Bosch engineer. Thanks.

It looks like there are 3 plastic caps hiding 3 screws on the backplate. 2 at the side bulges and 1 at the bottom.

Its been mostly getting down to 5 or 6 and at highest 10 but it seems to be settling day by day. Technically it's cold enough for food but at the moment don't feel confident in re-stocking. It's a horrible limbo

I can't help feeling that if you had given it a longer defrost it would have melted the blockage out well before now.

Yes I think you are correct but I genuinely thought an overnight defrost + fan would have done it. That said it is now getting down to as low as 3 degrees (not the group) after it was 8 first thing in the morning. I have since found out that the cold dial should be halfway but i've always had it 3/4 turned in the 2 years owning it.

I had a switch that was glowing yellow in the fridge section of my fridge freezer for 10 years. When I read the book, it was the fast chill setting for the freezer! I switched it off, it took a few days for things to settle down but it was still going strong when I removed it to fit a new kitchen 10 years later.

This is just so frustrating after just over a week thinking it had settled around 5 degrees (which I found it this morning on first opening) to now be at 8-10 again (even after turning the dial to slightly colder) I really am exasperated with it!
