Finally somebody on the TV telling MRSA as it is. Can't remember the title but she was on the BBC talking this morning.

She said that 'deep cleaning' hospitals was a waste of time re MRSA. It doesn't live on window cills or bed frames it lives in 'people's nasal cavities'.

She said 25% of people have it all the time (general public) and up to 75% have it sometimes.

People take their own MRSA into hospital with them and then blame dirty hospitals.

She said that in one hospital tested 80% of the staff were carrying the bug.

So Gordon, clean the hospitals all you like but as soon as the staff and patients return - you've got your old MRSA problem back again.

One thing it does tell us though - Gordon is gearing up for a snap election - even if he does have to tell lies in the hope of winning it.

dont let people have more that one visitor per week if they are only in hospital for a week, ok bent rules for childern, also invent a nose spray that kills the bacteria in the body like a ice water, with most bugs hate the cold

what makes you blame the visitors? the patients themselves have noses, so do the doctors, nurses, orderlies and cleaners. Most of them are reluctant to wash their hands often enough

Or do what the private hospitals do - week before an op get the patient in for pre-op - test them then and give them solutions etc to clean in for that week - most Bupas round this way never had a single case.

sorry i ment spray everyony as many time a day as it takes, but most visitors dont need to be there, doc's ect do :o

BUPA don't do real operations.

According the the GP on BBC News 24 it is.

How can you tell when a politician is telling lies?
