Anyone else noticed that when you beep the car in front of you because the lights have changed to green, they seem to zoom off at the speed of light.

Works every time!

Light only travels at 'light-speed' in a vacuum. I bet it was Mr Dyson at the lights.

Theres a lot of horn beeping when this signal appears too

(signal appears where one can travel straight on, but not left or right - isn't this obvious / logical?)

Why dont people know what this means?! They need to rush out and buy a copy of the highway code and keep it in their car for reference, since they're too stupid to remember.

you should try driving in london

i know a place where ther is a right turn only green light, and often when it comes on people on the left zoom off, only to stop 10 yards further on becuse the next light is phased with the one they were at and they both go green together

and bus lanes, the number of people that sit next to them and wont drive in them when they are not bus lanes (only bus lanes at certain times) i love catching people out on that one (i go in them when they are NOT bus lanes

I find the exact opposite.

They look in their RVM, notice a van behind them & make themselves as big an obstruction as they can.

Got really angry at the lights when this guy behind me began beeping his horn. I got out and was confronted by this man in the full Arabic regalia. "Are you tooting me", I asked. "No" he replied, "I'm Tutankhamun"!

Not quite every time. If someone beeps me impatiently when I'm stationary, I lean out of the window and ask them, politely, what they want.

Occasionally it results in me having to wind up the window in a hurry, but mostly it seems to make people realise that beeping only delays things further.

When a learner driver stalled the car, a driving instructor friend used to get out, walk back to the following driver and suggest they sit in his car and start the engine whist he sat in their car and blew the horn......

......Mind you, he was a very big lad......

Beep Beep get a movement on with the posts 9:48 the last one! not sitting here all day waiting for replies you know!
