Sons X-Box 360 crashed today. 4 months old. Called Microsoft helpline 0800 number - several menu options. ..... 45 seconds later talking to a yank. Explained problem.

Got me to check the power connection - then e-mailed me with shipping instructions and courier details. Courier collects tomorrow am. No Charge!

Should take 14 - 21 days for repair or replacement.

All done in 4 minutes.

How about that for service!
 
Well, if you get a lot of returns I suppose you get well practised in the art. If a company never had any problems, they wouldn't need, and wouldn't have a team well trained in dealing with returns.
I tried getting connected to cable a few years back. To cut a long story short, they pis*ed me about so much I phoned up to cancel. I got put through to the "cancellation before installation" department! They mess people about so much that they have a department to deal with cancellations before people even get cable installed. :shock:

should have took it to place bought it, would have a new one now and not posting on forums :wink:

Hope your next one's more reliable, my replacement took about a week (and I get the odd red light every now and then with this one), some people are on their 5th one. Microsoft extended the warranty to 3 years because so many have gone wrong.
 
Hmmmmm......... Just finished reading a letter from the Head of the game consule division for Microsoft.

Appears due to the vast number of complaints - Microsoft now acknowledge a system hardware failure. Seems a design fault. THATS why they are being so nice! - extending warranty to 3 years and paying to take them back for repair.

Never is as it seems is it?
