Er NOT! 3 bed detached. Cavity wall insulation. Only 4 inches of loft insulation but full of old microwave boxes etc at the sides and half boarded. Last gas bill was £118 and will be cheaper now I have changed suppliers. System is turned off completely during the summer as I use dishwasher and electric shower. TRVs on only 2 of 7 rads a room stat and programmer. Gravity HW and 3 cylinder jackets in use
I reckon the combined bill for gas and leccy was £700 a year.
Just setting up combined payment for £40 a month with new supplier.
What high gas bills?
..and they make sure it will not happen. It seems to me that this 10-year partial guarantee is against something that won't happen,
So you agree the guarantee does not add much value.

surely the gtee is telling you the products is engeneered up to a standard and is likley to last 12 to 15 years under normal use with normal maintainance to give sufficient margins to allow a very low failure rate before 10 years
so it does have a value in telling you its engeneered properly thats assuming the manufacturer expects to be in buisness in ten years time![]()
Wassa matter? Something beyond your comprehension?Gravity hot water?
FYI, I'm about to install a new gravity DHW circuit on a new boiler with a cast iron heat exchanger, the fuel for which will cost nothing. No heat bank, no mains pressure, no problem. An old cast-iron lump of a boiler?
