What is the diffrence between the Male and Female conduit ad

Just was wondering what each one does and bought a junction box and what like to run the conduit to it. so i bought a Male and female adaptor but both fit inside the JB and lock on to the conduit pipe outside.

male adaptor has the thread sticking out from the adaptor, and a lockring.


female adaptor has the thread inside it, and a bush style locking device.

It's all to do with sticky out and in bits. Kind of like people really

Female takes up less space inside the box/accessory.

when male and female are used in the description of stuff just remember that the penis goes into the vigina and it's usually pretty easy to work out.

You cant do that with plastic conduit. You dont thread it. The adaptors push / glue on to provide you a thread.

You could do that with steel, but it would look awful. Always use a coupler and bush at an accessory with steel.
