£135 per hour!!!

Just got back from the Dentists. Had a 20 minute scrape and clean with the Hygenist. There were others waiting after me.

Was charged £45! Bleading hells bells thats £135 an hour! Not even plumbers charge that much!!!

Whats the charges like in the rest of the Country or is us down South being stung?

jeez if I had a tenner for everytime a customer of mine started a conversation that way when they didnt want to pay

you cannot extrapolate your charge to arrive at an hourly figure - it just doesnt work like that (and for the record I charge more per minute on site than your dentist does LOL)

"well, when I had the snip the needle went nowhere near my hand"

Did you feel a little prick?

Breezer, I know what you mean. It sure effects your toes as well.

I pay £15 to have my gnashers filled and £40 for a cup of coffee in the waiting room.

He injected me in the hand, and i dont remember a thing, which is what they said will happen.

its called a local anaesthetic, but why they inject your hand when they are pulling a tooth i have no idea.
Was your mouth numb when you came round? If so, you also had an injection into the gum while you were unconscious; that was the local anaesthetic.

The injection into the arm/back of hand was only to make you drowsy - the technical term is "sedation" - so they can do the local injection without needing half a dozen burly guys to hold you down. The dose depends on your weight but everybody reacts differently to an anaesthetic; which is why some will go drowsy while others will go right out.

steve, you will have to ask your dentist, i asked do they do gas, (i hate having teeth pulled) they said they dont do that anymore, but i can have this injection, so i did.

it is not the dentist that injects you, it really is a specialist who comes in for the day, presumbaly they do a few that day.

definently have it done again. (if i have to)

oh, and you have to have the day off work, and some one to take you home, you go to bed and sleep, and sleep.

Would that be the 1 by J11 of the M1 on the corner ??
Very good there, had to take my son there twice coz he was a woos and wouldnt have the injection

I was in the chair for a 15 minute check up...28 sheets (private)

Our ironic is it..dentists used tos ay greed of sweet things causes tooth decay..

And now their greed is doing the same because a lot of people just cant afford to pay for it.
