Death of democracy

You don't know that yet.

well nothing is a 100%

but is imho 99.9% unlikely . The consequences or potential consequences could be serious ? by ignoring the most democratic election that this country has had in the last 40 odd years (at least)

If the vote go's to the commons , than the vote must also go to the lords ? they could vote it down as well , even if the commons do not ? but they will not

So all the remoaners wandering around with a big smile on there faces :)

Brexit means Brexit = Simples .

Hard or soft . who cares I say

If the Referendum is not enough to allow us to leave the EU how come a Referendum was enough for us to join ?
Does that mean we are illegally members of the EU ?
In which case we should remove ourselves from the EU immediately.

You don't know that yet.

Will it not be entertaining when they do ignore the mass and decree the vote meaningless?
Or when they vote on changes to the 'Brexit' which make it a meaningless smoothing of the mass?

I wonder if the child shall smite the father?
may you live in interesting times....

What do you prefer, Tranny?:sneaky:

Hard brexit for me , harder the better :)

show these Europeans we mean business , no messing about.

Sad state of affairs when a country like the U.K fought 2 WW & korea founder member of Nato , permanent member of the UN security council , sent a task force to the Falklands which resulted in the over throw of a facist dictatorship

cannot even set a tampon tax ffs  with out going cap in hand to a bunch of X Nazi collaberaters/ brown noser countries

X communist / Russian brown noser countries

X facist run Spain dictatorship & X military junta run Greece

afai am concerned we should have a boycott of going to Spain for holidays , see how they like that :) we brits can get just as drunk in Bognor Regis, blackpool or Scarborough

what the judges are saying is that using royal prerogative powers to leave the EU is not acceptable

fair comment imho . There fore the government must consult / ask parliament/MP's

fair decision imho

I do not believe or am of the op that the Supreme court should not over turn the court decision. It is important in any democracy that there is an independent judiciary . which as a last resort will & must hold any government to account.

The court case was inmho brought in the hope that the Brexit vote will be over turned by MP's & in theory it can or could be ;)

But will they dare to ?????? that is the question

I would love to see parliament over turn / ignore the Brexit vote :) we then enter un-chartered waters

All the remainer MP's should vote the brexit ref down , stick to there principles I say

but will they have the B***s for it ???

Surely we all knew already that in the UK, Parliament makes the law?

The only reason the anti-EU media is bitching is because they fear that Parliament might not do what they want. However, the Mail has no more right than Nigel to tell Parliament what to do.

will the MP's who were against Brexit vote it down ???

You'd better ask them.

Try asking the Mail why it thinks it has the power to tell Parliament and the courts what to do, while you're at it.

It was a Rhetorical question on my part ?

what would you like them to do ??? (again a rhetorical question:))

most or all news papers are only fit to use as emergency toilet paper imho

the mail being the 1st choice (maybe ?)
