Sometimes I think she doesn't love me.

Other times I do

I think I’ve upset Mrs Mottie tonight. Only two sausages and she knows I don’t like peas!

I had homemade beetroot and red lentils soup. Not bad.

Going to start making more soups. They keep you fuller for longer.

Just got to keep away from the dreaded bread

Dreaded bread is only if it's crap bread .

Proper Sourdough and good Low Gi bread are very good for you.

A strange one tonight :

Sardines, lentils and hot salsa, glug of olive oil, then heat through in saucepan.

Quite tasty, and there's probably many things that are less healthy.

For Sunday dinner, we had roast leg of lamb, with the left-overs put in the freezer to make something of, later. Yesterday evening, we decided the 'something', would be a Lancashire hotpot, so we made up and half cooked two, one for later today, the second for the freezer. The first one goes in the oven later today, 30 minutes covered, to heat it through, then 30 minutes uncovered, to brown the sliced potatoes on top of the hotpot.

Lamb, carrots, onions, lamb stock, and sliced potatoes, sprinkled with thyme. We never tried to make it before.
