    Phantom Flush Toilet? Likely Seal?

Hi all My toilet does a two or three second refill of the tank every 5 hours or so. Every few seconds a drip of water is seen within the bowl so I suspect a leaking seal. Is this the most likely culprit? How easy would it be to change the seal on this set up and are there any pitfalls to watch...

    Home Security Camera Advice?

Hi all I am about to start researching home security cameras and wondered if anyone had any recommendations on what type to get and what to look out for in terms of features? I was hoping to install the set up myself but have no issues with enlisting the help of a professional if needed...

    Flatpack Manufacturing Error?

Hi all My partner bought a piece of flatpack furniture made by a company I've never heard of but who seem to be legit (Tvilum). It's a shoe-tidy thing. The issue is the predrilled holes (although they align on opposite pieces) have been drilled about a couple of centimetres too low so the...

    Replacing Screeching Toilet Fill Valve?

Thanks - I tried to recreate the height of the previous unit and it looks similar if not ever so slightly lower.

Toilet Press Button Locking Nut Replacement?

Cheers - got no problem buying a new one if available but had some rubber waste bits that fit well from a drilling job. Was only going to be binned so it saves buying more plastic. I'll keep an eye on it in case it starts to break down and leave bits in the tank.

    Replacing Screeching Toilet Fill Valve?

I unclipped the top and pushed the new one on then clipped it to lock in place - it appears to have worked. Bottom was in okay condition. Do the levels look about right? Are there critical levels that need to adhered to? https://photos.app.goo.gl/FdDmuQRooYyEF4Mo8

Toilet Press Button Locking Nut Replacement?

Hi The press button for flushing my downstairs loo has come loose due to the plastic locking nut breaking. https://photos.app.goo.gl/fnaSGd1SF15hzXtJ8 Can I get a replacement or do I need to buy a new push button and DF cable valve...

    Replacing Screeching Toilet Fill Valve?

Hi My toilet makes a loud noise when flushed. When I pull up on the fill valve cable it stops during the flush. Is it a simple job involving isolating the feed, draining, clipping the old Fluidmaster out and clipping a new one in? This is the part...

New House: Existing Curtail Pole Not Straight ... to alter or not?

Cheers all. My old man thinks it would be a nightmare to adjust too so I'm going to hang the curtains and leave as is all being well.

New House: Existing Curtail Pole Not Straight ... to alter or not?

Hi all We've moved into a house a while back and are beginning to think about redecorating - it was pretty much liveable but could do with a fresh lick of paint etc. Anyway - I've noticed the heavy curtain pole is slightly higher on the right as you look at it. However, I am a little hesitant...

Moving Washing Machine ... Where to have Connected?

The sink is at the other end of the kitchen - it would a be big job involving taking up the floorboards to run it from the sink so was hoping to avoid that.

Moving Washing Machine ... Where to have Connected?

Hi all. We currently have the washing machine in the garage and my partner would like to have put into the kitchen. The problem is, there is no feed or waste pipe where we have space for it (she also wants to add a dishwasher too). This is the space we have for the washers...

Connecting Two Flexi Pipes? Isolation Valve?

This is the configuration under my kitchen sink - they seem to have added a coupler between the iso valve and the flexi? Presumably the side that attaches to the flexi is flat? https://photos.app.goo.gl/cj3uV16Uo3FYDRpd6

Connecting Two Flexi Pipes? Isolation Valve?

Thanks all I'll look into this - would likely have to get someone in as I've no experience extending copper piping so would be better done by a professional I think. Unfortunately previous copper tails won't fit the new tap, however, I could possibly buy some (like these)...

Connecting Two Flexi Pipes? Isolation Valve?

https://photos.app.goo.gl/2guzy2xqoSbUgTmSA The previous tap had copper tails so the iso valve worked well. This new tap has Flexi. What would be the best way to connect?

Connecting Two Flexi Pipes? Isolation Valve?

The only issue is that I don't think both ends are flat.

Connecting Two Flexi Pipes? Isolation Valve?

Hi all I'm in the process of replacing a basin monobloc tap with another. The previous had copper pipe going to the tap which connected to an isolation valve and then to a Flexi pipe. The new unit has Flexi pipe from the tap which I need to connect to another piece of Flexi pipe. What is...
