    Anyone know of an easy way to get the threaded section of a brass fitting out of a steel pipe? I got called out today to fix a leak and her handyman had managed to snap a brass fitting off right at the thread, I can`t get a hold of it at all :(

    Ok so 2.5mm is it for the spur, anyoe want 25meters of 1.5mm :o) The shower will be between 9 and 10kw, customer has not yet bought it. The current iso switch is upstairs but the shower is downstairs so I am wanting to put a new iso in. If I buy the highest rated one then I ought have no problems?

    Depends on were the drops are, i would drain one rad at a time myself, but it all depends on the pipe layout

    I went to a house today with the above boiler installed there, the house is huge with 30 rads. The boiler is 12 years old and is junk, it has heated to such an extent that steam has blown from the PRV, it also seems to jump from 1bar to again water gushing from the PRV, the owner wants rid of it...

    The regs state that double check valves have to be fitted on all new and on all existing works which are being modified, i had this same problem on an mod job, the contractor wanted me to fit the taps with no dcv, i just did`nt connect them :)

    I already did, as long as the fall is ok you can run a sink waste over 4 meters. Your neighbors would have to sign off on a hole being drilled through their wall however and any damage done while getting access to the stack. I assume it is boxed in of course.

    lol jonjb Flakey, unless you can follow the pipes with your eyes and find the leak your kinda screwed, all your doing by increasing the pressure so much is making the leak bigger :) I`m assuming some of the pipework is hidden which is why you can`t find the leak, so look for damp patchs on...

    easy way look for a puddle :) If it is losing preassure then you have a leak, without being able to follow the pipes to look for one thats all i can say really, o and don`t use caps when you post.
