    Artificial grass around TPO tree

Hi Essentially I was artificial grass in my garden. There is a tree next door with a TPO. To do what I need to do, I would need to dig 100mm down and hardcore etc. Can I do this near a tree with a TPO or could that damage to tree roots? Thanks Matt

Old electric heating. Is there a better way?

Thanks. Definitley dont have the money for an air source pump. I was wondering if a modern boiler may be more efficient than whats there which is about 20 years old? I assume thye are both considered 100% efficient and its just became its electric, not the efficiency of the old water heater?

Old electric heating. Is there a better way?

Hi I have an old electric central heating consisting of this 7kw heater and an under cupboard water heater feeding the hot taps. It's really expensive to run. Would a modern electric boiler make much difference? Or any other ideas? There is no gas in the flat so can't get a normal boiler. Any...

    Unvented cylinder overflow

We have a hot water tank with the overflow going outside. Ive noticed the ground outside is always wet. I then realised the water is coming from the hot water tank over flow. Its not constant but clearly happens regularly. Our heating is topped up from the small tank in the loft. The hot...

    Condesation in loft space

Ok thank you. Vent tiles look complicated to fit? Would fitting a few of these in the soffit do the trick? https://www.toolstation.com/single-round-soffit-vent/p59214

    Condesation in loft space

I have noticed some condensation in my loft space. Its the far end by the outside wall. It seems to only affect one side of the loft. The roof looks in reasonable condition. My best guess is it is not leaking. There is an old chimney on that side which was capped off inside the loft space...

    Insulate loft room

Advice would be massively apprciated. Our loft room was built in the 1930s with the house. It is not insulated at all with plaster on the roof joists. I would like this all removed and it insulated properly before being remastered. What is the correct way to do this and what materials should...

Attaching a new radiator to this.... In my cellar?

Hi Basically I have a cellar and I'm trying to add a radiator to it to make it a useful space. There are 2 drain points in the cellar ceiling. Both get hot when the heating is on. There is very little space between the fittings. Could I just drain the system and attach a radiator? Would...
