Filling a Large Hole in the garden

Hi everyone, We inherited a very large and deep hole in the garden. It is about 15 meters x 15 meters and about 1.5 meter deep. It was probably dug out with the intention of creating a large pond but just left there. We would like to fill it up so the final thing is a levelled garden, but would...

Gap Between Garage Roof & Wall

Hello, Hopefully a straightforward question (and hopefully I'm posting this in the right place), I have little to no DIY skills, but I'm working on it! We have an old Garage/Outbuilding that has been in a state of disrepair since long before we bought the house. We finally have a bit of time...

What to repair this black layer with?

Hi all, I have taken the skirtings off a late 60s/early 70s building and in some areas there was damage caused by the nails as seen in the picture. I am filling these with a rapid set cement based mortar. The question I have is that there is a smooth, rubbery feeling black coating that...

What size hole for 6x100 Easydrive concrete screws?

Easydrive seem to be a bit shy of providing hole spec.. The 6x100 have 6mm thread diameter, slightly unsurprisingly (with 4.8mm shank). They're going in to a concrete blockwork wall. Is there a general rule for hole sizes? Thank you Dain

Meter move - is it writ in stone that homeowner needs his/her own electrician on the day?

It is not the case that the homeowner needs their own electrician present on the the day that the team arrive to relocate the meter. It appears that there is a certain discretion allowable.

Hi Guys, I just nail gunned my skirting and architraves around the home and now would like to fill the small holes. I was contemplating using a ready filler such as Polyfilla all-purpose or Gyproc Easi-Fill as I have heard this is just as good. But I worry this is only for use on plaster...
