The point is that Boris is at least on the playing field despite being seen as bit cosy with Trump. The last Labour PM, never really managed that.

Biden hasn't forgotten about Boris comments about Obama. Biden will make Boris tag along by dangling a deal. Any deal would provide little benefit to the UK but would be sold at great fanfare and that's what it boils down to - sell the description but not the details as a Brexit win.

If this is what the USA wanted to do to a market the size of the EU, imagine what they would do to one much smaller, run by an incompetent narcissist liar almost grovellingly desperate for a deal who could sign one without Parliamentary oversight and free from any challenges in court.
