2/3 British voters believe lies about immigration

Started to watch that BBC ken loach play "Old Oak" on TV last night - all the asylum seekers were women and children, (women who had been nurses looking after british soldiers)

dosnt seem to be many women and children on this boatView attachment 404330
We all know where the BBC's loyalties lie!
Perhaps they are hoping that by stirring things up, they might attract more licence fee payers.

Left-wing lie.

If it is true that the current Labour Party has reduced immigration in its current tenure, it is insignificant, and a disingenuous claim to make. Labour is the party responsible for bringing them in in the first place.
Lol. 14 years of Tory failure, and you blame Labour? You do know that Brexit is the main cause, don't you?

It says refugees from Syria in the film blurb. Could it be this scheme:

'Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Programme (VPRS): Launched in early 2014 and significantly expanded in September 2015, the UK committed to resettling 20,000 vulnerable Syrian refugees from camps in neighbouring countries (such as Jordan, Turkey, and Lebanon) by 2020. The programme successfully met this target, resettling over 20,000 people by February 2021.'

Yes, just like we know where traitorous treacherous staunch (UK hating) Brexit voters lie....

Since Brexit, small boat crossings in the English Channel have significantly increased, with a major factor being the UK's loss of EU agreements that previously facilitated the return of asylum seekers to the first EU country they entered. The UK is no longer part of the Eurodac fingerprint database, hindering identification, and the lack of a returns deal means migrants can't be sent back as easily, creating an incentive for repeated crossings. While the rise began before Brexit, the post-Brexit environment, coupled with crackdowns on lorry stowaways, has exacerbated the trend, leading to tens of thousands of arrivals annually compared to hundreds in 2018.

We need another word for stupid.

Brexit - an utter pile of UK harming dog turd.

How many were we able to send back vs had to take in under the EU scheme?

The Dublin agreement was definitely not a benefit to the UK.

We watched it too, I usually like Ken Loach's gritty, down to earth productions, but that was a gross distortion of the truth. In part, it was BBC funded, at licence payers expense. The fee ought to be optional!

"....Since the UK left the Dublin Agreement (effective Jan 1, 2021), small boat arrivals in the UK have substantially increased, peaking in 2022 with over 45,000 crossings, though numbers fluctuated in 2023-2024 before rising again in early 2025, with a major factor being the loss of the ability to easily return asylum seekers to other EU countries, making the UK a primary destination..."

That's when Labour was in charge...or not... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The 'fee' is optional.
The only legal requirements in order to refuse to pay the BBC Tax, is not to watch any BBC programmes or any LIVE programmes.
The easiest solution is simply to avoid the BBC and any live-broadcast programmes. Watch only non-live or 'catch-up' programmes and avoid the BBC like the plague.
Or continue as before, but don't tell anyone and DON'T let any BBC goons into your house!

Or just pay the fee. We are not talking life changing sums here and the BBC is by far the best news outlet on the planet.
