Yes, immigration is a cause of population growth, but the government has full control over that now, so should not be a problem. But we do still need people to work in our industry.

Nonsense; the very simple fact that nobody addresses is that it makes no sense, morally or economically, to bring foreign workers into the country when you have unemployed natives; especially when those unemployed are being paid public money.
