im having a gas fire fitted, reading the electric instrutions it states NOT to use 13 amp type plug/socket but connect using a 3 amp fixed fused spur.. ive tried to find one on the sites but cant find.. is there such an animal .. big thanks P M
 
Do you mean a switched fused spur?

In that case, it's easy. Simply replace the 13A fuse with a 3A one.
 
ive found a 13amp D P switch fused unit in my pile of rubbish can i simply replace the 13amp fuse with a 3 amp :?: if not whats the difference between fixed fused spur and double pole :?: thanks P M :idea:

yes, you can change the fuse. as for the 2nd part, a fused spur has a fuse on the live. if they have a switch, they normally only switch the live but DP switch live and neutral
