In the main MCB's go 6, 10, 16, 20, 25, 32, etc and a fuse 5, 10, 30, etc. So when a light fitting is rated 5A supplying with a 6A MCB is OK and other way around when a 32A supply is requested from an MCB using a 30A fuse is OK.

There are one or two exceptions to the rule semiconductors often have to use fuses not MCB's as an MCB is too slow but normally one thinks of 30A and 32A as being the same.

True, although earlier MCBs, eg. original MK Sentry range, Crabtree C50 range and others did come in 15A & 30A sizes...

...but that's just me being difficult!

Yes, for practical purposes 30/32A can usually be regarded as the same.
