What if this forum had a vote of no confidence in you, Gally, Elly and JohnnyD. Would you all **** off if you lost?

Could Boris call a motion of no confidence in himself.

Yes he could but it would make no odds

Fixed term. Parliament act brought in by Cameron

The opposition parties at this moment in time would not vote for his motion and he needs a 2 third majority of MPs to call an election ;)

Tis a dogs breakfast Tbh

He cannot call an election, or pass any legislation, without the assistance of the opposition parties.

They are not minded to assist him in, for example, closing down parliament so he can get a no deal; or having an election prior to his die-in-a-ditch day. All the things he might want to do to try to outwit his opponents, his opponents have no interest in assisting him. Somebody might lend him a spade, though.

I wonder who the next PM will be?

So what would happen if Jo Swinson or Jeremy
Call for a no confidence in BJ?

Vote of no confidence needs simple majority.

Calling for a GE under fixed term needs 66%

filly is mistaken.

Buffoon can resign as PM.

The Queen can ask any other political leader if they think they can gather enough support to form a new government. IIRC 14 days is allowed for this. If so, s/he can take over. If not, there will have to be a GE to shake the dice and see who else can have a go.
