it just seems more logical if you were writing the date every day. days change more often to months wich change more often than years.

do any other countrys write it like americans?

Using the month as a prefix seems more logical to me. It makes you immediately aware of the time of the year.

why do the yanks do that? i cant see any benefit its slightly more awkward really.
Americans in general have no conception of the 24 hr clock, they will say for example 21:32pm...the pm is unnecessary
Also they have gone metric with speed, they don't seem to use MPH anymore.

they presenters still use miles per hour or feet per second...
 
Which is more logical?

UK: Miles per gallon (higher is better)
Continent: Litres per 100kM (lower is better).

Quite possibly, but why for England? do they add subtitles for none english speaking countries?
