If anyone sanctions a minutes silence at any of the football matches up and down the country this weekend then they want their heads looking at. Get a few thousand people together in a football stadium and theres no way that all of them will observe the silence for someone who is/was disliked (rightly or wrongly) by so many. Its a pointless waste of time, if not everyone is going to be slient (and i'd be surprised if they are) then its pointless and it'd be stupid to even attempt it.

Anyone not observing the silence are just proving how stupid and ignorant they are and deserve all the contempt those who do and will observe the silence can give them.
Maggie represents a pre PC Britian when Britian made its own decisions and for that alone if nothing else she deserves respect.

If you support the silence breakers on a matter of principle do we then allow home grown islamic salafists to break the silence when the queen dies?

Yes it is. I used to be proud to be British, certainly when Maggie was in power. Now I'm embarrassed. Funny, that change of attitude seems to coincide with Tony Bliar coming into power and then his successor Gormless.
