I don't like Priti Patel much - fake conservative, supercilious, disappointing after her promised crackdown on crime BUT having said that I consider her a good immigrant. She has worked hard to be where she is rather than play the victim and blame Britain for everything. She has contributed to the country rather than taken, and promotes the country rather than denigrates it, and all in the face of the undeniable racial name-calling that she must have experienced but has shrugged off. There are many immigrants like this - you don't hear the Chinese or the Jews whinging - though they face much abuse too - they just work hard, live decent lives and fit in.

Watching bbc news the other night showed a disparity between black and Asians in performance at schools.
Also a higher incidence of black boys being arrested over Asians.
Spent some time around a Sikh community and I had nothing but admiration for how they cared for each other and held a supporting network.
Compare that to the stats for alot of black families where the boys grow up without their fathers which in turn causes them to go off the rails.. you just cant blame 'the world against black' racism for everything it's not all everybody else's fault.

This whole BLM thing is an ugly exclusion creating division when we right now should all stand together we've all suffered discrimination no matter what colour or shade.

She is also reckoned to be a Thatcherite. Have to wonder how much of that is still around in the current cabinet. Last thing I read about Mrs T's statue was that they didn't think there was a pedestal tall enough to prevent it from being vandalised so not sure if it was ever erected.

at the same time the fact some black people are bad does not mean its ok for people to shout at a black girl waling down the street.

The right wing often use this tactic: stoke up division by accusing a whole ethnic group of being bad. Trump did it with Mexicans "these people are murderers, rapists, thieves....maybe a few are even good people, I will build a wall'. In the UK the RW press have done the same thing with immigrants, people on benefits etc.

This was something I read this morning from Lewis Hamiltons profile a high percentage of his followers are up in arms about his comments as of late none of them responding with hate but with feelings of disappointment and hypocrisy. Its a growing sentiment. See a snippet below whilst we refer to Colston.
