The majority of those who come from immigrant descent are British. They are entitled to everything a white Brit is.
So wreck stuff instead..fek the debate..you either agree criminal damage is unlawful,or it is ok..Ourlaws do not allow to pick and choose which criminal damage is ok.Unfortunately you can't expect everyone to think the same as you, nor should you expect them to.

Excellent points very well madeI didn't say they wasn't...
But part of being British is respectful of others. Just because a 10% of people want a statue removed doesn't make it right, when the other 90% don't.
As I said we need to concentrate on the future not the past, the past is there to remind us of where we've come and the strides we've made, it's also to celebrate the good. We don't celebrate the bad that was done.
Statues are not there to celebrate the bad, they are there to celebrate the good.
The bad never happened to the people that want them pulled down, stop worrying about the past concentrat on the future.
I agree - think of the future and the future may be (hopefully) end of racism. Those who wish to have statues which DO celebrate the bad as well as the good by their very existence may just have to understand that some things will have to move on, including those statues.I didn't say they wasn't...

very well put.I agree - think of the future and the future may be (hopefully) end of racism. Those who wish to have statues which DO celebrate the bad as well as the good by their very existence may just have to understand that some things will have to move on, including those statues.
Personally I would prefer to see them in a museum, not the bottom of the sea because then if people wish to see them they can. This is instead of everyone having to see them and what they (now) represent whenever they walk by. Have a choice..
I really don't see why this is the end of British culture or the start of the demise of the British way of life. Those comments like that just strike me as immature, reactionary and without logic or understanding. And the comments on here about being a hypocrite or selfish because I don't think removing the statues are that big a deal are an eye opener too. Those going on attack are showing the same mindset as those they say they dislike - ie, no respect.
And when the debate is had...and the majority say keep the statue???? As happened in Bristol...What then???Those who wish to have statues which DO celebrate the bad as well as the good by their very existence may just have to understand that some things will have to move on, including those statues.
racism doesnt affect 90% of peopleJust because a 10% of people want a statue removed doesn't make it right, when the other 90% don't.
What are you saying?? Debate wins or mob rule wins?racism doesnt affect 90% of people
so what you are saying is "Im alright jack, nobody shouts racist abuse at me, I dont give a flying furk"
We'll apparently by the way things look it seems mob rule wins...What are you saying?? Debate wins or mob rule wins?
