M looking to replace my door electric strike and I’m not sure if existing is ac or dc. It says 8-12v on it but when I google the model it’s available in both versions.
My multi meter on ac side seems to only have a 600 or 200 setting, and it doesn’t read anything (other than a minus appears). But then the dc side produces the same result when placed at 20!
I’m not good with electrics and feel this I a v basic q to ask.
