Yes, it is OK to use!. It must be earthed at the source end and connected to any earth terminal on the light fitting. Sleeve the bare conductor with yellow/green earth sleeving.
Writing on it says Firetrax Gold. Quick Google search says is a fire alarm cable. I salvaged it from skip same place where I got the led strip lights. The cable was attached to a double socket.
NO!!!! Why on earth would you want/ need to do that?
Way back at the beginning you were asked two key questions they you have ignored.
1. What is the power feed from thde house? Is it from the back of a socket? If so, is there an FCU in the house that isolates the Circuit?
2. Is the circuit RCD protected?

Thank you everybody for your input. I have basic knowledge about electrics and I thought I have answered those questions in my previous replies , I am not ignoring them. I will do my best to answer them.
So, a fuse board in the garage is off the menu. Since I first posted here I have learned a few things thanks to your replies and have changed a bit the way I am going to power up the garage.
This is the fuse board in the house(see pic) and the socket in the kitchen I'm gonna hook the cable that goes to the garage(see pic). I was going to just plug it in and have a junction box in the garage to connect the sockets and lights ,+ a light switch. But I will swap the socket in the kitchen for a spur (let me know if is wrong) ,connect garage cable to that spur and then connect the sockets and lights+light switch in the junction box in the garage. Also, between the junction box and the light switch I will add another spur with a 5Amp fuse,as suggested by another member.
Coming back to the questions :1 I think the main board will isolate the circuit.(Let me know if I'm wrong. Again, limited knowledge about electrics)
2. Im assuming that if I connect to the kitchen socket , the circuit will be protected by the RCD from the main board?(May be wrong?)
Thank you everyone for your patience. I'm doing my best to answer your questions. And your help is very much appreciated
