legally? I have established I have the problem of the dhw flow switch sticking on (causing overheating and lockout) so it needs changing. Am I legally allowed to change this? I am not a heating engineer or gas safe. Not sure what the legal position is these days, years ago I would have just changed it, but more cautious nowadays.

I am no expert, but as far as I understand the answer is no. I believe you have to be registered gas safe / corgi or what ever the latest name might be.
If not I don't think you are permitted to work on boilers legally.

I could be wrong, but that's my understanding

yes a puma. So I can change it? I feel confident I can do so, although obviously I don't have test equipment.

thankyou

They rarely need to be replaced.

But some skills are needed to know how to fix and adjust them.

A new one also needs to be adjusted which is not that obvious either.

Not a very risky job apart from leaking water if you got it badly wrong.

There are also some live wires on some nearby components on some models.
