Started over Xmas, just about finished.
Oakwood garden rooms and Ali Dymock on YouTube were a great help.
Everything done myself.
Reinforced concrete slab base:

Retaining wall at the back with a clear cavity to allow higher ground level, separation of the timber frame and easily satisfy the 2.5m height rule:

Clad with black coroline sheets - ended up going for this as it’s far cheaper than wood/composite…and we think it looks decent…

Charred my own window reveal boards with the blowtorch to finish the outside look:

Happy with how it looks now. Used chopped up pallets to make a feature dividing wall. Leccy radiator, wifi/phone app controlled.

Really neat work there mate. I especially like the charred wood reveals…very nice touch :)

Thanks Andy, loving the extension thread, makes me nostalgic about when I did mine although you’ve taken things a lot further - epic achievement mate (y)

Really nice that mate. Followed Oak Rooms myself too....top guy. Build mine 2 years ago in 1st lockdown. Use it as a bar. Still looks as good now as it did. Like the black boards. Nice cheap option. Used log lap myself....wow Woods getting expensive.
Good job mate

Thanks. Travis Perkins, about 14 quid a sheet. You could probably get them cheaper if you shop around.
The sheets are dead easy apart from the external corners which I kinda made up as I went along and wasn’t overly happy with. You don’t have much choice of where the corrugating profile high/low ends up so have to work each corner out so it looks ok with additional battening if needed (not the easiest thing to explain)

Thanks for info.
I can sort of imagine the issue with the external corners.
