Antsy attitudes

Point taken - I will however say out of all the forums on this server the electrics one seem the least friendly and least helpful of them

Come on sparks you cant have a bricky or chippy having the moral high ground
You should check out the plumbing section - they have a policy, or common practice, of actually lying to people to save themselves the trouble of explaining things properly.

Good to see that you are capable of making intelligent, rational and relevant contributions.

Help myself from what?

Believing that people who engage in a debate should do so in an intelligent, rational and relevant way?

No.

So let me see if I've got this right.

I responded with a bit of mild sarcasm when you just laughed at me when I asked you a perfectly civil, reasonable and relevant question, and I'm the one being rude, arrogant and offensive?

Would you like to provide an intelligent and rational explanation of why it's OK for you to just laugh when asked a civil question?

well, after being thoroughly disappointed with Galliano for allowing this:-

to fizzle out (maybe he just couldn't be bothered?) i have renewed faith that this forum can still (probably) create pages of guff in the pointless persuance of not much

I think that some forget that previous posts are still available for all to read.
The reader can form an intelligent opinion of how rude or helpful a contributor is based on a selection of those posts, not just those at the top of the first page.

If I were to waste my time putting together an intelligent and rational explanation, I would be wasting my breath.

You are BAS. You would never accept it.

I think I will move on now, can you? I doubt it, so I will let you have the last meaningless word and I will not reply.

Goodness, how much fun would there be if we all arranged to meet up one night in a bar face to face.

We could find a bar with a few hundred down lights and plenty of railway track skirting, architrave and ceiling line exposed wiring.

So when peeps have finished killing each other by throwing dummies, we could then debate the rights and wrongs of every cabling installation not done by our own fair hands.

Does a thread / post remarking on antsy attitudes really need to have squabbling posts within ?

That was another example of someone being irrational and inconsistent, thinking that he should be allowed to make baseless criticisms of others and could just ignore a reasonable and civil request to explain why he was behaving in that way.

Is this going the way of a locked thread again... ;)

You're right though Chri5. But not everyone gets involved in the backwards & forwards disputes over who said what to who...and what did you call me mum?

Some members do seem to have a bit of a dislike for each other but then that's nothing different to the Real World™ I suppose. I'm sure they believe their reasons legitimate. They probably are legitimate!

i wonder if the bar might have a patio area made from an inappropriate type of timber, or possibly some block paving? :)
