Turkey is pretty popular these days and an option outside the Euro.
Tunisia is now open to tourists again and some pretty good deals are available.
Both are hot in the summer months though
If you want to avoid getting too hot, Minorca is a good choice, it’s usually not above 30

Depending where you are you may find that eg Scotland's school holidays differ, so flights out of Scottish airports become cheaper at different times than English airports
We saved about £700 by flying out of a Scottish airport last year, though it doubled the journey time to the airport
Got shafted on car hire, we were 16 minutes "late" getting to the desk to pick up our fully-paid-up-front-for-two-weeks car due to various accumulated delays, and they refused to give either the car or a refund.
State a pickup time that is after your landing time, tell the con the flight number, and as soon as you become aware of any delay to your plans tell the hire co.
Buy on a credit card especially if buying in advance (debit cards do support chargebacks but can only be triggered within 100 days of purchase, which may be no good).
In my case we to buy another car hire while sat in the airport, paid the same price from a different co, so this year not going to bother booking in advance, or will make sure to use a payment method I can charge back/go for pay on pickup as the sharks vary the times by which they deem "late"
You can buy car hire insurance for a fairly low price, eg one year is 50 quid; it pays you what you have to pay the hire co if they say you damaged their car, so if eg they sting you 300 euros for a puncture (they did me last time we were there), you pay the 300 then make a claim on the insurance to get it back. Most car hire cos will offer it as eg a 50 quid upgrade to their standard, for a single trip but it can be better value to buy yearly, though you will have to pay and reclaim, whereas buying from hire co's should make it that they handle it all no cost to you
Very wise advice IMO. I pay for as much as I can each month via credit card because of the automatic protection given. As soon as the monthly bill arrives, I simply pay the amount in full over the phone.

Don't be tempted by cheap offering from the likes of Love Holidays because they act as an agent putting together a flight, transfers and accommodation. If say your flight is cancelled for example then your accommodation and transfers will still need to be paid for. But with jet2 or tui as a package holiday you will not loose out if one element is cancelled.
Also take a note of the transfer times from the airport to the hotel, some can be hours and others can be 15mins
Use google satalite and street view to find out exactly where the hotel is, the pictures on the jet ect web may look great but it could be in the middle of know where - if that matters to you ( I like to be by the beach )
Read the trip adviser reviews of the hotel- they are a brilliant resource for not booking a total dud.

Not for me, no. I read to check every transaction for every purchase. Service before I pay.
There is NO WAY on earth I would advise anyone to go to Tunisia after what happened, and in my view Turkey could be next.
Stick to mainland Spain - 2.5 hours and you are there,
Book a package and pay by credit card.

Oh, I forgot to mention.
Last time I went with Tui when the air traffic shenanigans happened the Tui reps all ran for the hills and Tui didnt have a clue what day it was took us 4 days to get home. Jet2 reps sorted their passengers with accomodation and the flew home the next day!

Great advice for booking holidays! Definitely good to be aware of the risks with booking elements separately. Transfer times and location research are key too – no one wants a surprise in the middle of nowhere! And TripAdvisor is a lifesaver! Happy travels!
Agree. No one wants a four hour transfer, especially if you have sprogs in tow.
