Rocking the Boat by Ian Ross
it's a fictional story, based on the true story of the month's leading up to the launch of Radio Caroline in the early 60's
great read for all you free radio hippies

Just finished reading "The girl with dragon tattoo"

Thoroughly good unputdownable books for me are by Nelson DeMille and Harlan Coben

I myself liked the dark tower series.. by Stephen King..

it's kind of post apocalyptic western, with magic thrown in..

don't be put off by the first one, "The Gunslinger".. it's kind of western heavy..

oh and it's 7 books in total..

An awesome series. Riveting books. My choices would be -

Crime Thriller - Dick Francis.

Sci-Fi - L.E Modesitt Jnr "The Cadman Chronicles" or "The HAB Theory" by Allan Eckert.

War - "Chickenhawk" by Robert Mason.

Travel - All the Alexander Kent series

Non-Fiction - Phoenix. (Policing the Shadows) by Jack Holland. (Undercover in Northern Ireland)

Biography - Pierluigi Collina "The Rules of the Game" or "Spy Catcher" by Peter Wright.

or for light reading - The Lady Magazine- Out every Tuesday.

I really enjoyed these, all of them came recommended and none of them would be something I would normally pick up off the shelf.

Me too! Took a while to get into, mainly I think due to the language/syntax arising from the translation into English, but the storyline was very good. Is the next part out yet?

Also just read "The Circuit" by Bob Shepherd. Good read if you like warry, non-fiction stuff.

And, just prior to that, Volumes 1 and 2 of TG20:08 the scaffolding bible...rivetting stuff and good for CPD :)

"Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" read in when it was first published in the 70s and just re read it, very sad indeed and angry, a great book.
