Anywhere to buy threaded pipe and these flanges in uk?

Anyone know where you can still buy threaded steel pipe (ideally cut to size) and some flanges like this in the UK still?

Its for some diy sheaving units but really struggling to find anywhere that sells such thigns

Any heavy side plumbers merchant BSS for example.

You'll need to cut and thread the tube though. Alternatively go to an industrial plumber and gewt him to do it at a cost.

http://www.orbitalfasteners.co.uk/en/categories/fast-clamp-kee-klamp-hand-rail-fittings and the like may be more useful for your application than pipe fittings.

Shelving units?

Try Kee Klamp fittings instead. Similar to the screwed flanges, but only secured with a hexagon allen bolt. Used for shop fittings and warehouse racking. The stockists sell the galvanized pipe and cut it to size.

BSS and their many associated companies will charge like a wounded rhino if you don't have a trade account with them.

did you ever find these? I'm looking at doing some iron pipe shelving units but can only fine 3m pipe. I want them cut and threaded to 10", 12", and 18" pipes, can't find them anywhere!

https://www.bes.co.uk/index.asp do Malleable iron and steel pipe and fittings, although I don't you'll be able to buy ready cut and threaded lengths anywhere. The guys who work with this stuff on a regular basis, have the kit to cut and thread as required. Every job is different, so you would cut as required to suit the job requirements, then thread the ends to accept the fittings.

Best bet for small scale requirements is to find a Heating and Ventilation contractor who is prepared to cut and thread to your specs.

Or, buy the floor pipe plates, then have the thread removed so the pipe slips in and then tack weld as necessary...just an idea

What about steel conduit and dome plates? (Cheaper to buy elsewhere, but avoid the very cheap pressed steel versions as they have little strength.) Much cheaper and readily available, the conduit is only a few quid for a 3.75M length you will have no trouble finding a hire shop with a conduit vice and a stock and die, don't forget the thread cutting paste. Not quite as industrial as the pipe fittings, but still very strong, especially if you go for 25mm conduit
