Why stop at Russia, throw in China and others. Russia like some others is a very big country.
One of he SAGE group was on TV with others early on. Various things were discussed. At times he said no have to think about the economy. I took that as being his thoughts at the time but not at all sure going on what the same person has said since. Look what's happened to the economy and was bound to past some point.
Calls in the House for action. Behaviourists mentioned. The report demanded and not forthcoming. I suppose few remember that phase.
Then a report that says the NHS will be overloaded so end mitigation. Result lock down. Strange really. Others had shown that there would be a need for one rather clearly. I don't think they are stupid enough to not realise that.
Where are we now? Higher probability of cross infection than many others. Be interesting to see how the air corridors get on. A political view from an MP is for instance Spain will want our money when on the face of things they should say no if they use the same rules as us.
