Just want to know whether it's necessary to use hoseclips when connecting the hose to the drain valve of the central heating, or whether the hose when pushed on will create a dripless connection?
depends on size of d/cock and also quality of the hose most diy hoses will fall off with the slightest bit of warmth in the water so best you use jubilee clip

I want to be able to keep using the hot water for washing while keeping the c/h system drained down so that I can work on it. What do you think ?
