Im with you there John I but I cant blame the Japanese or the Germans of today. Nor do I blame the UK for what happened two hundred or so years ago.

I wonder if Tate & Lyle are still in business.
I don't. However I do comment on people who try to point at the record of one country while ignoring the record of their own.
And I applaud modern nations that try to atone for past national misdeeds. They are quite rare.

Most people, when they use others' work, refer to them with accreditation. The same place you copy from....... Did you think we never noticed...
Most people, when they use others' work, refer to them with accreditation.
If you don't and you pretend that the work is your own, it's called plagiarism.
So if you're going to copy and paste, you ought to show the reader from where you copied it so that they can verify it, if they so wish, that it was written in the context that you've used it.
I'm sure you've seen how many a quote on here that has been snipped, and even pasted back together to change the meaning to that desired by the person copying and pasting.
By including a reference back to the original, you allow the reader to verify that you haven't done likewise.
However, if you read something, and repeat it by paraphrasing it, (i.e. carry over the message but not word for word, nor copied and reprinted) that's allowed and you don't need to provide references.
Lol. You are such a disingenuous ****.Hypocrites
yet I drive a Japanese car as I have no problem with the Japs.
