army protesters

At least the Army were allowed to parade through Luton, a home coming parade through Belfast by the Royal Hussars has been abandoned because of threats of trouble from IRA supporters.
What are they frightened of I thought they were supposed to be brave soldiers? Or is it because they dont have aerial support bombing the hell out of villages indiscriminately before the scaredy cats move in?

It has nothing to do with fear on the armys part, it is political cowardice on the governments part.
It is the same cowardice which cost the lives of two soldiers in the Antrim army base attack, because rather than use armed soldiers to guard the main gate as is the case in every other army base in the UK, they used civilian security guards so's not to upset the sensitivities of Sinn Fein.

This 'Labour' government should go around carrying a health warning, 'Voting Labour can damage your health'

Done me no harm voting labour ever since i could
It hasn't done the health of people in Iraq much good, i don't think Labour would get many votes out there if they tried to contest any elections, it would be like turkeys voting for christmas.

yes labour made a mistake getting involved with america over iraq but remember thatcher's tory government taking us to war in the falklands its not just labour that takes us to war.

Different scenario,a British dependtency invaded by a foreign foe.

Some wars are justified and some wars are not. The issues involved in the Falklands war were clear cut, the indigenous population of the Islands were British and were under foreign occupation.Iraq on the other hand had no discernible link to Britain, the myth of WMDs was created to justify the invasion, the suspicion is that the Israelis supplied the "evidence" for WMDs as they have the most effective intelligence network in the middle east, they also had the most to gain from the downfall of Saddam Hussain as he was a thorn in their side with his financial and moral support to the families of suicide bombers and the palestinians cause in general.

Timmy.
Tories did not take us to WAR in the Falklands.
It was a conflict

So clear cut of course that a British government had been in talks with those 'foreign occupiers' over the future sovereignty of the Islands... ;)
