Hi, about to replace a basin tap, there are a type of isolation valve that I’ve not seen before, how do they work, and will my new tap connect to them or do I need adapters?

I think you need on of these to connect to the supply pipe and the flexi tails

They are push fit isolation valves so no your tap flexis will not connect to them directly. It looks like you will have to shorten the pipes and use the type of valve that blup suggests.

Any adapters available to connect the new tap tails to the existing valve?
Maybe swap tails or just replace the isolation valves?

Currently, aren't there 2 separate taps for hot and cold? The replacement is a mixer.

Are your current flexis going to the taps or are they supplying the water it's diificult to tell from your pic the way the water flows.

The view of the isolation valves is from underneath looking up, so both tails connect to the base of the current mixer tap

Indeed, decided to get my plumber guy to come over and change to the normal isolation valves, I can see a disaster looming if I start pulling it apart myself
