Currently, aren't there 2 separate taps for hot and cold? The replacement is a mixer.Hi, about to replace a basin tap, there are a type of isolation valve that I’ve not seen before, how do they work, and will my new tap connect to them or do I need adapters?
OK, I had the water flowing the wrong way, jj4091's #7 likely explains itThe view of the isolation valves is from underneath looking up, so both tails connect to the base of the current mixer tap
As blup said, replace the isolation valves.Any adapters available to connect the new tap tails to the existing valve?
Maybe swap tails or just replace the isolation valves?
