Hi

Just wondering if this is the right set up for bath drainage?

When the water runs away, it flows then stops, then few seconds later like air is released then it flows again and repeat.

Not sure if this is the right part tbh, water goes down then up then down before a strain flow under the bath and our to the downpipe.

Doesn't look like there is a continuous downward fall on that set up ?

That long length of pipe does angle downward and out, runs lower at other end of bath as the connection to the down pipe is under the floor.

I was more questioning the set up before that long length of pipe.

Pictures can be deceiving ,it appeared that the horizontal pipe runs uphill . The horizontal pipe would be better if it connected directly to the trap outlet ,rather than the two 90 degree elbows , nevertheless it should still drain as it is.

Thanks for the advice, I’ll speak to the fitter as to me it just didn’t look right.

It’s does drain it just seems to be a stop start drain, which when draining a full bath is a little annoying

So just to be clear the section marked in red and blue need removed, and a 45degree fitted to where the black X is that connects to the main horizontal flow away pipe?

or is it keep the red part 90 degree and replace blue part with 45degree to the main horizontal flow away pipe?

That's it, the section marked in red and blue will need to be removed as it has been solvent welded and can't be reused, a new 90 degree bend fitted to where the black X is at the trap and a 45 degree bend where it's marked in blue.

Great thanks for the info, makes perfect sense and do you think that would help the flow away of the water?

The fitter meantioned a air admittance value possibly at the sink however although they tie into the same downpipe it’s separate feeds into this downpipe one from left side one from right side and the bath obviously lower feed in.

found this on google so I guess that set up with the 90 and 45 degrees.
